The gyroallongée pentagonal Cupola-rotunda is a geometrical Figure belonging to the solid of Johnson ( J 47).
As its name suggests it, it can be realized by gyroallongement of a pentagonal cupola-rotunda ('' J '' 32 or '' J '' 33) with insertion of a Antiprisme Décagone between its two halves. The gyroallongée pentagonal cupola-rotunda is one of the 5 solid of Johnson to being chiral, i.e. whose form differs from that of its image Miroir. On the illustration on the right, one can notice that each pentagon of the half lower of the figure is connected by 2 faces triangular S than a face Carré E located at the top of him and on the right. In its chiral figure (image Mirror), each pentagon of bottom will be connected by 2 faces triangular S to a face Carré E located at the top of him but on the left. The two forms chiral S J 47 are not regarded as two solid of different Johnson.
The 92 solid of Johnson were named and described by Norman Johnson in 1966.
