Zygomatic Os
The zygomatic Os or zygoma or bone malaire has a body corresponding to the palpable relief of the knob. This body is connected to the other bones of the face by prolongations, which are four:
- a prolongation interns towards the lower edge of the Orbite;
- a higher prolongation towards the external edge of the orbit joining the frontal bone;
- a prolongation lower towards the jawbone and palpable in the mouth;
- a posterior prolongation connecting it with the fine prolongation of the temporal Os.
The zygomatic is also the name of a Muscle sticking on the knob and which enters in particular concerned the Rire.
