Zoza
Zoza is a village (51 inhabitants) of the Alta Rocca, Corse-du-Sud, crossed by the Rizzanese.
Geography
It is located at 88 km of Ajaccio, has a surface of 517 hectares and has an average altitude of 450 meters.
This village presents moreover, the characteristic to be northern full talk, from where the saying:
" Zoza di mala furtuna, of invernu, May plate, of estate, May luna" . I.e.: Zoza of misfortune, in winter, never of sun, in summer, never of the moon.
The village is crossed by Rizzanese. The point highest of the commune is the rock of Tafunatu 847 meters.
On the road of Santa Lucia, a piton of 455 meters named PUNTA DI CASTEDDU borrows its name from a square fortress which one still sees the foundations. Built with the site of CASTEDDU DI RICCIO, this one was named in XIVe century TORRA DI CASTEDDU and controlled the valley.
