Biography

Evolving/moving at the station of defender, Zoumana Camara was formed with the ACE Saint-Etienne. After two seasons passed to the Green then in D2, it joined the Serie has Italian and the prestigious Inter Milan in 1998. Not being able to find its place within plethoric Milanese manpower, it agrees to be lent later a few months in the most modest club of Empoli. Then, always in the form of loan, it finds the French championship with Bastia time the one season, before being transferred in 2000 to the Olympique from Marseilles where its career takes off finally since it is called by Roger Lemerre to dispute the Coupe of the Confederations 2001 in Asia.

Technical, sober and effective defender, Camara seem then at just 22 years promised with the more international bright future. But a few months later, a serious wound with the supply mains puts an end to its ascencion. Transferred wounded to RC Lens, it puts nearly one year before finding the grounds, during the winter 2003. After a loan with Leeds, Camara finds in 2004 its club formative of the ACE Saint-Etienne, where it is from now on titular indisputable.

July 24th, 2007, at the end of a long arm wrestling with its leaders, Zoumana Camara joined the Paris Saint-Germain by signing a four year old contract, a transfer of an amount bordering six million euros.
