The zoological garden of Barcelona ( Ca Park Zoològic de Barcelona ) opened its doors for the first time in September 1892, the day when was celebrated the saint-owner of the city - Mare of Déu of Mercè. It was built in the free place left after the World Fair of 1988. The garden extends on 13 Hectare S and contains approximately 7500 animals.
The most known attraction of this zoo remains certainly Snowflake, only the Gorille Albinos never known. It attracted hundreds of people in Barcelona until her death, in November 2003, of the continuations of a Cancer of the skin.
