Zoltán Horváth

Biography

After having begun studies at the University of the Art schools Geneva, then made a license in geography with the University of Geneva, it begins in the drafting, the page layout and the illustration of publications. Parallel to this activity, he collaborates regularly in several Swiss newspapers as draftsman of press.

It is in 1996 qu ' it carries out its first cartoon film in synthesized images, the Trumpet of Gericault (7 minutes). Its second cartoon film, Carcasses and crustacean (10 minutes) is preceded with the festivals of Locarno and Geneva. By again working a mixture of techniques of animation, it realizes in 2002 Nosferatu Tango (14 minutes) which gains more than 20 international prizes. He currently works with the post-production of In the skin (14 minutes), a new short film of animation coproduit by his company Nadasdy film which will see tattooings moving on the skin of a couple.

In each one of his films, one finds a mixture of different techniques, as well as a history in the history. Thus, in Nosferatu Tango , a laughing animated mosquito saw a love éperdu for a vampire appearing in a filmed book whose pages are turned to constitute the screen of film. The adventure of the mosquito comes to be integrated in this account coloured into the diluted colors of a great beauty. This film obtained in 2002 the Prix of criticism decreed by the Trade union Frenchwoman of the film critic.
