Zoe Genot

Zoe Genot is a political woman Belgian born with Brussels the May 29th 1974. Federal deputy Ecologist since 1999, re-elected in 2003 (twice as substitute called to sit). She had never exercised political mandate (nor be candidate) before 1999.

With the communal elections of October 2006, it is chief candidate Écolo in the common inhabitant of Brussels of Saint-Jose-ten-Noode, where it has resided for several years. She will obtain 330 votes which enable him to obtain a seat of communal adviser. Chief candidate to legislative of 2007, Zoe Genot is again re-elected.

Zoe Genot made her studies with the Universit3e libre de Bruxelles (ULB) where it was active in the student movement. Graduate in economic scenes in 1995, it will return with the ULB a few years later as a member co-opted of the Board of directors of 2002 to 2005.

After employbeing employed in the union world and of the social economy like in a ONG under development kind and, Zoe Genot became appointed federal Belgian in 1999. In its parliamentary work, it is invested more particularly in the fight against discriminations (files of the right to vote for the foreign residents, of the marriage and the adoption for the homosexual couples, of the organization of the Muslim cult in Belgium…), against the North-South inequalities and the social injustices (drives out with the unemployed) or for the company of information and the Free software.
