Zlakusa

Zlakusa , in Serb Cyrillic Злакуса, is a village of Serbia located in the municipality of Užice, district of Zlatibor. In 2002, it counted 694 inhabitants.

Zlakusa is located at 7 km of Sevojno, at 10 km Požega and 13 km of Užice.

On a height near the center of the village the ethno-park of " is; Terzića avlija". It is a village garden, which shelters old houses, typical of Serbia of formerly. During the Second world war, one of these houses, which has more than one century, was used as school; Petar Radovanović taught there.

The village garden is used as framework with many demonstrations (seminars, concerts…).

In August, take place there of important meetings between craftsmen and artists specialists in the Céramique. Sofija Bunardžić, painter and ceramist, originating in the city Užice launched a research project to discover new manufactoring processes; it called its technique Zlakusa or Sofija-Zlakusa .
