Zita Johann
Zita Johann is an actress of Hungarian origin, born the July 14th 1904 in Temesvar, Hungary (now Timişoara, Romania), deceased the September 20th 1993 with New York.
Girl of an officer hussard, Zita Johann emigrates in the United States in 1911. She makes her beginnings with Broadway in 1924, and appears in its first film “The Struggle” of D.W. Griffith, in 1931. She incarnates in 1932 a double role (Helen Grosvernor and Anck-be-in-Amon) in “the Mummy” of Karl Freund. As from 1934, it gives up the cinema, to return to the theater, where it works with John Houseman (with which it was married) and Orson Welles. In 1986, it off appears last once in a film of horror entitled “Raiders the Living Dead”.
