Zingiberidae

The Zingiberidae are one of the plants Monocotylédones. In traditional Classification (1981) they are assigned with the Liliopsida (= Monocotylédone S) and they are divided into 2 order S:

Bromeliales
Zingiberales

In phylogenetic classification this subclass does not exist: the Bromeliacées are assigned with the order Poales and the order Zingiberales is placed in the Commelinidées.
