Café Zimmermann is a unit French devoted to the interpretation of time of the traditional Baroque music and .

History

Founded in 1998 with Rouen, by Celine Frisch and Pablo Valetti, it is composed of five String instrument rubbed and of a Clavecin to which various instruments are added according to the programs.

The name of the unit originates in a establishment of Leipzig which accommodated the concerts of the Collegium Musicum, together founded by Georg Philipp Telemann, and directed by Jean-Sebastien Bach between 1729 and 1739

The recordings of the whole for the label Alpha received the praise of criticism, in particular the Variations Goldberg (Shock of the year 2001 and gold Diapason of the year 2002).

Discographics projects

  • Concerts with several instruments : integral recording in 6 volume of the orchestral music of Bach. Each volume is appeared as a concert mixing with works coming from different collections. Last volume should leave in 2010.
  • profane Cantatas : The unit will record with Gustav Leonhardt the integral of the profane cantatas of Bach) to start from November 2007.
