Ziguinchor (area)

It is frontier with the Gambia.

Elle trains the Western part of the Casamance. The communications with Dakar pass almost exclusively by sea or through the territory of Gambia.
The prefecture of this area and the principal city are Ziguinchor (approximately 130.000 hab)
The area is cut out in three departments:
- Department of Bignona
- Department Oussouye
- Department of Ziguinchor
The main cities of the area are Bignona and Oussouye.
