Zhongwei

Zhongwei (中卫; Pinyin: Zhōngwèi) is a city of the autonomous region Ningxia in China.

Demography

The population of the prefecture was estimated at: 1140000 inhabitants in 2004.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Zhongwei exerts its jurisdiction on three subdivisions - a district and two counties  :
  • the district of Shapotou - 沙坡头区 Shāpōtóu Qū   ;
  • the county of Zhongning - 中宁县 Zhōngníng Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Haiyuan - 海原县 Hǎiyuán Xiàn .
