Zhen

or transcribed zhèn in Hanyu pinyin (romanisation of the Mandarin) and shin according to the reading On' yomi (Japanese), is one of the eight trigrams of the Yi Jing, and thus a figure of the Bāguà.

Also called the eveillor. He is one of the eight parts of the Bāguà and has as a natural image the thunder.

Other images associated with the zhèn are the eveillor, the dragon, the oldest son, the foot, the dark yellow, main street, a reed or a snap ring.
