Zero Patience

Zero Patience is a Canadian Musical film carried out by John Greyson, left in 1993.

Synopsis

Sir Richard Francis Burton is always in life and became the taxidermist Museum of natural history. He wants to capture Patient Zero for his “gallery of the contagion”. This called Zero would be the first carrier of the AIDS to have brought the disease in North America.

The phantom of Zero, deceased, wander in the city without being able to come into contact with his/her mother or her friends, including Georges who suffers from a beginning of blindness because of the disease or the medical care.

To the wire of its research and its meeting with Zero that it is the only one to see, Burton gives in question its thesis of patient zero and in tomb in love.

Comments

The film wants to refute the thesis of the introduction of the AIDS in North America by a precise individual, a Patient zero. In the case of the AIDS, it is a Canadian stewart named Gaëtan Dugas (1953-1984). Doctor William abandoned Darrow this thesis of itself and it is allowed that the epidemic had started well before the infection of Dugas and on a mode broader than that of only one infected.

The effects of the medical care are an important topic of the film which puts in parallel the lack of comprehension and the doubts of the patients on their médicamentaux treatment, and the enrichment of the drug company.

If Sir Burton is a historical personality, its transposition in film in fact homosexual a not acknowledged.

One of the most discussed scenes film is the debate between two Anus in modeling clay on the merits of the Sodomie.
