Zenith of Limoges

The Zenith of Limoges is an established theater with Limoges which accommodates various concerts and spectacles. The Zenith is without equivalent of capacity in a radius of 150 kilometers. This realization is the work of the architect Bernard Tschumi. Its reinforcement into Douglas of the Limousin, is covered with an envelope of Polycarbonate which becomes transparent when it is illuminated.

History

The Zenith of Limoges is a project which goes back to 1995. Delayed a long time for political reasons, the first stone is finally posed on April 8th, 2005.

Its grand opening is ensured by Michel Polnareff on March 17th, 2007, for its first concert in province after its great return in France.

Geographical location

The Zenith of Limoges is with 16, avenue Jean Monnet, established between the crossroads of ESTER and that of UZURAT, close to the Exhibition site, on a ground of 51.670 m2, with orée of the Wood of the Country house. An exit of a20 highway is in the vicinity.

Capacity

The Zenith of Limoges can contain to 6000 spectators in configuration sitted/upright and 4500 spectators in sitted placement all. At the time of the meeting of Ségolène Royal of the March 29th 2007, 7000 people were present in the room.

The carpark has a capacity of 1500 places. Two other carparks in the vicinity are connected by a shuttle the days in great concert.
