Zengides
Zengides , Zenguides or Zankides is unles members of a Turkish dynasty which reigned on the Moslem East of 1127 with 1222.
The founder and éponyme of the dynasty are `Imad AD-DIN Zengi (Zengi) was the son of Aq Sunqur Al-Hajib.
History
The kingdom of Zengides is the result of the collapse of the empire of the Seldjoukides.In 1127, Zengi became the Atabeg of Mosul of the sultan seldjoukide Mahmud II, then it increases its field by conquering Alep and Hama . It runs up against cross and its ambitions are attached by its suzerain Sultan seldjoukide but also by the Caliph of Baghdad.
