Zenga

The branch of races bovine zenga is originating in Africa. It results from the crossing of Zébu S (Boss taurus indicus) and of African bovines.

Origin

In 1887, of the Italian monks imported in Érythrée bovines intended to improve the productivity of the local cehptel. With these animals the cattle plague arrived. In a few years, it devastated the herds and created the first great famine in the horn of Africa.
Pour to repopulate this area, of the massive imports of zebus indo - Pakistani took place. They modified the genetics of the populations radically, so much so that the branch Sanga disappeared from this area. The chetel lately created was named zenga , contraction of Zébu and Sanga.
