Zeleia is an ancient city of Mysie. One believes to have identified the place a few years ago with Sarıköy, to 12 km of Gönen, in the province of Balıkesir, in Turkey.
It is mentioned, in the old texts, only by Homère and Strabon. Zeleia could have had a back role of place, for the generals of Alexandre Large the, before the Bataille of Granique.
Mithridate VI gained there a victory over the general Triarius, lieutenant of Lucullus in -67, and César over Pharnace II in -47.
