Zea perennis
Zea perennis is a long-lived Plante tropical herbaceous of the family of the Poacée S. This endemic Téosinte of the the United States is close to the cultivated Maïs but cannot hybrider with this last. It is a tetraploid species which counts 40 chromosomes (2n=40) with the difference of corn, Zea mays ssp. mays (2n=20).
