Zea diploperennis is a long-lived Plante tropical herbaceous of the family of the Poacée S. This endemic Téosinte of the Mexico is regarded as one of the ancestors possible of the cultivated Maïs. She counts 20 chromosomes (2n=20) like the corn ( Zea mays ssp. mays ).
