The Sheik Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahyan (in Arab زايدبنسلطانآلنهيان), called the wise one of the Arabs , was a Politician, founder of the federation of the United Arab Emirates, which it directed since his creation the December 2nd 1971. Its year of birth is not known with exactitude (according to the sources, it would have been born in 1908, 1916 or in 1923). It is deceased the November 2nd 2004 at approximately 86 years, after thirty last years with the head of the Emirates.

The sheik Zayid had been sick for several years, and did not attend the Arab tops any more. It had received a Clerc's Office of Rein in August 2000.

His/her oldest son, the sheik Khalifa bin Zayid Al Nahyan became president of the Emirates with died of his father.
