Zayd Abu Zayd , also called Abú Zayd last gouvernaor Almohade of Valence.

History

Enjoying a total autonomy with respect to the capacity Almohade, it succeeded in being made call King de Valence . It is affirmed that Abú Zayd had ended up converting with Christianity and consequently it was appreciable combined " Conqueror " in its fight for the reconquest of the Valencian grounds.

Under the protection of Jacques Ier, it held the seigniory on localities Morisque S of the Sierra of Espadán, seigniory which it bequeathed to his Fernand son.

Abú Zayd Maria her daughter, Doña Alda Fernández, which probably brought in dowry the castle of Arenoso, with Don Eximén Pérez de Tarazona , which was with the head of the Aragonese troop which constituted the military force of Abú Zayd; after this marriage this last changed its name Tarazona into Arenós .
