Zappa Plays Zappa

Zappa Plays Zappa is the title of a round of concerts organized in 2006 during which a group carried out by Dweezil Zappa, the oldest son of the type-setter and musician Frank Zappa, gave concerts in Europe, in Canada and the United States during June and May. The round is also known under the name of " Turn of Frank". The spectacle proposed a series of compositions of style rock'n'roll of Frank Zappa being spread out years 1960 to 1980. Put aside Dweezil Zappa with the guitar, the group was composed of young musicians virtuosos brought together for the occasion and of guests who had previously belonged to the team of Frank Zappa. Among those, Napoleon Murphy Brock (saxophone, flute and voice) formed integral part of the group whereas the beater and singer Terry Bozzio as well as the electric guitarist Steve Vai occurred as guests. At the time of certain representations, one could attend the projection of an extract of the unseen film " Roxy".
