Zakir Hussain , born the March 9th 1951, wire of the player of Tablâ Went Rakha Khan, is most known of the percussionnists of India.

It begins the rounds at the 12 years age. Zakir goes to the the United States in 1970 and less begins an international career with step than 150 concerts per annum. He is regarded as one of largest the player of Tablâ S of his generation. He played with the largest Indian soloists like Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan, Shivkumar Sharma or Hariprasad Chaurasia. He also excels in the solos of counted accompanied by the Sarangi by Sultan Khan. He took part in more than 250 recordings in studio or live.

He plays with the group Shakti and John McLaughlin
