Zacharie (prophet)
See also: Zacharie
Zacharie is one of the twelve minor prophets. He is the author of the Livre of Zacharie classified among the Neviim in the tradition Jew and among the books of the Old Testament of the Christians. He lived towards 520 front J. - C. He announced the arrival of the Messie and the conversion of many people.
Second of the prophets having exerted their ministry after the exile, Zacharie, whose name wants to say “the Eternal remembers”, was a contemporary of Aggée (another minor prophets); Zacharie prophesied at the same time (see in the Livre of Esdras 5. 1; 6. 14). The first prophecy of Zacharie (Zacharie 1. 1) was marked two months after the first message of Aggée, the second year of the king Darius 1 er of Perse (522] - 485 front J.C.), namely in 521/520 front J.C. Another date is indicated in Zacharie 7. 1: it is about the fourth year of king Darius (519 - 518 front J.C.). The second part of the book (chap. 9 to 14) does not comprise a date; Zacharie undoubtedly wrote it only towards 480 front J.C. The prophet was then probably put at died by his compatriots (see 3. Its characteristics). == external Références == * the biblical passage with the angel * Close-up on the book of Zacharie Gate religion of: Prophet Sacharja in: Zechariah (Hebrew prophet) be: Zacarías (profeta) He: זכריההנביא id: Zakharia (nabi Ibrani) it: Zaccaria (profeta) it: Prophetia Zachariae nl: Zacharia (Hebreeuwse Bijbel) pl: Zachariasz (prorok) Pt: Zacarias (Profeta) Ru: Захария (пророк) sv: Sakarja the U.K.: Захарій (пророк) [[zh: 撒迦利亞書
