Zabriskie Point is a group punk-rock'n'roll French originating in Nantes which played in the Années 1990.

Its name is borrowed from film of Michelangelo Antonioni (see: Zabriskie Not ) in 1970 and with the original soundtrack of which Pink Floyd took part (piece Careful With That Axe, Eugene ). This film draws to him even its name from a desert geographical place located in the Vallée of Dead the in California.

The texts of the group, often marked by a political anchoring which seems to sail between a Marxism taken with passing and an anarchism hétérodoxe, remain always subtle, impressed allusive literature and strategies. Their music as for it has a pop side and melody some (moreover the group itself asserts the influence of recent American groups as Green Day) but nevertheless is anchored in the noisy tradition of the Ramones and is marked by the hardness of the sound hardcore of groups like the Dead Kennedys or Minor Threat.

Zabriskie Point also was at the origin of the independent label Dialektik Records, essence in the development of the French punk scene in the years 1990.
