Z 7100 are electric motorized regional of the SNCF.

It had been ordered 35 railcars. Only 33 will be carried out, the two last being the Z 8001 and 8002 prototype with single-phase current 25 Kv - 50 Hz.

Following a modernization carried out in the years 1980 (new painting in blue and gray) of the indeformable elements of two and 4 case (Z-ZRx and Z-ZR-ZR-ZRx) were made up.
