Z-servant boys

The Z-Servant boys are a group of young people skaters originating in Dogtown, a district of Venice in California. They belong to the surfshop/skateshop " zephyr" (Z-servant boys). They are first of all surfers and skateurs but this sport being too risky and little known they seldom practice it. Since this sport knows its revolution (gum wheels, more solid boards), they are launched and gain competitions. During the dryness of 1976, the empty swimming pools are transformed into playing field (which one now knows under the name of " bowl".)

Among them, one finds Stacy Peralta, Jay Adams and Tony Alva. They are at the origin of the modern skateboard. During one time, the group passes through a crisis: stacy peralta and Tony alva are enemy because of the competitions, they leave zephyr and are not thus any more under the same sign. As for Jay Adams, it does not make competitions and is alone has to continue surfing; it starts has to turn badly, fall into drug and the delinquency (of which it is not able to be demolished). They will become again friendly, rappochés by the disease (brain tumor) of one their friends. Nowadays Jay Adams is often imprisoned, Stacy Peralta is film producer. Tony Alva skate always and has his own brand " Alva Skatboarding". He appears in the series of video games Tony Hawk .
