Yvonne Duckett
Yvonne Duckett (1880 - 1970) was a professeure of Dramatic art Québécois.
Biography
Yvonne Duckett is a pionnière of the teaching of the Théâtre to the Quebec. During several decades, she teaches with the Conservatoire music and of dramatic art of Montreal, then at the music school of Outremont.Its technique of teaching goes beyond the Diction: it also gives courses of Relaxation and of Phonétique and it innovates with the education by the play. Of Irish origin , it is married with the dentist Jean-Louis Audet.
Duckett publishes articles in the re-examined company of the good speech French speech and in the newspaper the Duty . Its courses of phonetics are diffused with the radio of CKAC and in the schools of CECM.
It trained several actors of scale like Yvette Brind' Amour, Marjolaine Hébert, Gaetan Labrèche, Guy Mauffette, Dominique Michel, Nathalie Naubert and Béatrice Picard.
