Yvon Labre
Yvon Labre (born the November 29th 1949 with Sudbury in Ontario) is a player of professional Hockey Canadian now reprocessed having evolved/moved in the National league of hockey.
Biography
Labre was initially fished out in the LNH by the Penguins de Pittsburgh, in 4th round of the RepĂȘchage amateur of the LNH 1969, 38e on the whole, but it disputed only 37 matches there before the Capitals of Washington do not choose it during the RepĂȘchage of expansion LNH 1974. It will have the honor to mark the very first goal of the history of Capitals, beating the guard Rogatien Vachon Kings of Los Angeles. Although not having had a career rich in offensive exploits, Labre was dissociated as a robust defender on the ice and like active member of the community outwards. It was dedicated to the development programs for the young people, which made it very popular within Capitals during its career in a city where hockey did not hold traditionally a great place.He was captain of the Capes of 1976 with 1978. He remained in the organization after having put a term at his career of player and was trainer-assistant, commentator, recruiter and director of the relationships to the community. Its number 7 was withdrawn by Capitals the November 22nd 1980, making of him the first and the last player to carry this number to Washington.
