Professional path

Yvon Jacob made studies in economic scenes and is graduate of Sciences Po Paris.

He is President of the Board of trustees of the Groupe Legris Industries since 1994. He sits at the executive council of the MEDEF since 2000 Since 2005, it chairs also the board of directors of the National institute of the industrial property (INPI). Candidate with the presidency of the MEDEF in 2005, it arrives in second place behind Laurence Parisot.

Liberal engagement

Yvon Jacob was the deputy president of Idea-Action, the liberal think tank founded by Alain Madelin He is vice president of “Liberal Generation”, abstract network of clubs animated by Jacques Garello and takes part regularly in the reflections of the circles Frederic Bastiat.

Political commitment

It was city council man of Rennes and regional adviser of Brittany. From March 28th 1993 at April 21st 1997, it was appointed Second district of Ille-et-Vilaine. After its failure with the municipal elections of 1995, it was withdrawn little by little from the local political life.

Within UMP, it animates a " courant" liberal, with Herve Mariton, Pierre Lellouche and the senator Philippe Marini.
