Yvon Delbos
Yvon Delbos is a politician French, born the May 7th 1885 in Thonac (the Dordogne) and is deceased the November 15th 1956 in Paris. He was in particular Foreign Minister and Minister for State education.
Biography
Youth
He attends the National university and enters to the radical Republican party and radical socialist. He becomes editor association of the newspaper the Radical . He is wounded during the First World War. After its cure, it was affected with aviation.
Journalist radical socialist
Founder of the “ new Era ” in 1919, he became then writer of the “ Dépêche of Toulouse ”. In 1924, he is elected appointed the Dordogne and becomes president of the parliamentary group radical socialist. In 1925, he is April 17th, Secretary of State then from to November 28th, Minister for the State education and the Art schools in the cabinet Paul Painlevé. From 1932 to 1936, he is vice-president of the Room. He contributes by his critical sharp to the fall of Pierre Laval in 1935.
Chief of the diplomacy of the Popular front
It finds the government as Minister for Justice and vice-president of the Council in the cabinet Albert Sarraut from January 24th to June 4th, 1936. In the governments of Popular front, it occupies sometimes the function of Foreign Minister sometimes that of Minister for State education. Chief of the diplomacy from June 4th, 1936 to March 13rd, 1938 in the cabinets Leon Blum (1) and Camille Chautemps (3), it adopts a line reconciling with regard to the Nazi Germany and must face the problems arising from the war of Spain at a left government. Its functions with the Quay of Orsay are completed with the Anschluss of Austria in Germany. It becomes again Minister for education in the governments Edouard Daladier (3) and Paul Reynaud, from September 13rd, 1939 to March 21st, 1940, then from June 5th to 16th 1940. Opposed to the Armistice, it embarks on June 20th, 1940 with other members of Parliament on Massilia which gains Algiers. Resisting, it was stopped and off-set in Orianenburg of 1943 to 1945.

Candidate with the Presidency
Delbos is candidate with the presidency of the Republic to the three first turns in December 1953. He is elected senator RGR in June 1955 and seat with the Conseil of the Republic until his death.

Enthusiastic European, he was also member of the Parliament of the ECSC and vice-president of International liberal.
