Yvette Roudy
Yvette Roudy , born the April 10th 1929 with Pessac, is a political woman socialist French.
Translator then journalist, it was Minister for the Women's rights as from May 1981 to 1986 during the first septennate of François Mitterrand, then appointed and mayor of Lisieux (Apple-brandy). She is at the origin of the law " antisexiste" in 1983.
She is member of the national office of the PS and animates, with inter alia Arnaud Montebourg, after having been member of NPS, the current " To renovate " now;. She is one of the supports most marked for Ségolène Royal like candidate with the nomination of the PS.
She is the object, for the first time, of a biography, written by two young women journalists and published in the editions Public menace, entitled Yvette Roudy, Mrs the Minister (See on the site of the editions).
She belongs to the new team of countryside of Ségolène Royal indicated on February 22nd, 2007 for the presidential elections of 2007.
