Yves the Large one

Yves the Large one was a professor specialist in biological optics and Colorimétrie.

Holder of a science doctorate in 1936, his thesis relates to the diffusion of the light in the eye.

He is named the same year at the Physics laboratory applied to the living beings of the national Muséum of natural history of which he becomes then directing sub-manager then.

He teaches physiological optics with the University of optics as from November 1942.

In 1949, it succeeds Jean Becquerel with the pulpit of physics applied to the natural science until 1977.

In 1966, it creates the physiological French company of optics with Albert Arnulf, Pierre Fleury and André Dubois-Poulsen, located at the Institute of optics theoretical and applied (SupOptique), it is elected by it the first president.
