Biography

It was born with the borders from the Anjou, the Maine and the Touraine in a small village close to Castle-the-Vallière. Parents of land origin, a large father tourangeau, cartwright carpenter and large a mother dressmaker born of Berrichonne and Poitevin, Yves de Saint Jean is firmly anchored in the life of the soil.

All its youth occurred in the fields, the vines and wood in contact with the farmers, vine growers, loggers… of which he knows the language and the practices. Gourmet, reasonable greedy, it kept this particular taste for the authentic one and them products of the soil.

Courageous and hard-working, it multiplies in its youth of tens of small trades which make of him an adaptable person in all circumstances. “I do not give up nor never lowers the arms. ”

Creator of the Vinarelles ®

Yves de Saint Jean, in love with the Vine, the Wine and the wine inheritance, is very attached to his soils.

Wishing to take part, with its way, the safeguard of this inheritance that are in particular the small houses of vines still called in our areas cabins, huts, lubites, choquettes or cabinets of vine… He had the idea to use the tannic differences of the wines to create original tables with the soft colors which he baptized “Vinarelle”

Vinarelle became a registered trademark with INPI.

Thus Côt, Pineau d' Aunis, Cabernet, Gamay, Groslot, Oberlin and other wines dyers, type of vines, names and years formed its pallet of the soils to illustrate this superb wine inheritance. Of pale pink with purplished each type of vine its character has. Years and soils create the richness. Then… Patience, passion and chance make the remainder.
