Yves Pérotin

Yves Pérotin is a Archiviste French, born with Bordeaux on July 15th 1922 and died in Perpignan on March 1st 1981.

Course

Former student of the National school of the charters, it directed the Departmental records successively of the Lot-et-Garonne, the Meeting, of the Seine, of the VAr and the Eastern Pyrenees. He also exerted functions of archivist at the International office of work and the World Health Organization. He is especially known for his contribution to the Archivistique of French language. One owes him in particular the first definition of the three ages of the files and the first attempts to adapt to the French case the procedures of Records Management (alias Gestion of the documents of files) which it had observed in the United States and the United Kingdom.
