Yves Meynard

Yves Meynard (1964 -) is a Canadian writer which was distinguished in the field from the Science-fiction and of the Fantasy. He writes as well in English as in French.

He made his beginnings as writer in 1986 at the time of the Boreal Congrès with Longueuil. With Philippe Gauthier and Claude J. Furrier, it then launched the Fanzine Samizdat , but it very quickly started to publish in Solaris and to collect the prices.

At the same time, it made its first weapons in English. Thus, during the years 1990, it published not only novels for French young people, of which the Magus of the ants , but it signed also a novel of fantasy for adults, The Book off Knights , published by Tor in New York. It then ensured of it the translation in French under the title the Book of the knights for the Alire editions.

In addition to a specific collaboration with Elisabeth Vonarburg, he also collaborates with Jean-Louis Trudel under the name of Laurent McAllister.
