Yves Benot

Yves Benot , born Edouard Helman the December 23rd 1920 and deceased the January 3rd 2005, was a Journaliste and a Historien French of the Colonialisme. He was a militant anticolonialist. His/her Jewish parents Rumanian died in Auschwitz. During the Second world war, it joined the free France, then becomes militant communist. He taught French in Africa, and the history in metropolis. Very inspired by the Lights of, of which in spite of their ambiguities, it shows their advance over their time. It estimates that, rather than to be indignant, retrospectively, of the Esclavage, it is especially advisable to reinstate colonization in the History and to include/understand the mechanisms of them.
