Yves Barber
Born on February 1st 1893 with Besancon (Doubs), Yves Barbier was engineer of the Cadastre to Vesoul.
It adheres to the movement Défense of France then assumes the departmental responsibility for it. Resistance structure in 1943, around the clandestine press and of its diffusion, of the actions of information, Sabotage S (of the Cheminot S make jump several engines and of the railway material to the deposit of Vesoul in November 1943).
It is stopped in Besancon by the Gestapo on February 2nd 1944.
He is imprisoned in Besancon then with Dijon until August 19th, 1944, day when he is led in the wood of Norges and is carried out, in company of Marcel Beninger, Claude Leguyader, Jean Rochet - which will survive, though Handicapé, until 1983 (Death for France). Dijon was released on September 11th.
A quay of Durgeon bears its name in Vesoul.
