Yves Allégret

Yves Allégret , of his true name Yves Edouard Allégret (Asnières-sur-Seine October 13rd 1905 - Paris June 21st 1987) is a French scenario writer. He sometimes turned under the pseudonym of Yves Champlain .

Biography

Younger brother of the scenario writer Marc Allégret, it begins in 1930 as assistant from this one, then occupies various stations in the teams of other realizers, like Jean Renoir. Parallel to this on-the-job training, it turns its first short-measurings.

The war being declared, it is mobilized. In 1941 it turns in free zone its first feature-length film Tobie is an angel , but the negative one will be destroyed at the time of a fire. Yves Allégret was initially married in Renee Naville, of which he divorced and of which he had a son in 1936, Gilles Allégret, who, under the pseudonym of Gilles Gallion, had started a career of actor ( Mam' zeal Nitouche put in scene by his/her father and the Army maneuvers of Rene Clair) before disappearing in 1955 in an car accident. With his second wife, Simone Signoret, it had a girl Catherine Allégret. His last wife, Michele Cordoue, played in several of her films, of which the Proud .
