Yvan Cassar
Yvan Cassar is a former student of the Conservatoire Higher National of Paris (composition, Piano, writing).
He worked with many French artists as a arranger, realizer or musical director: Claude Nougaro, Johnny Hallyday, Charles Aznavour, Celine Dion, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Patricia Kaas, Pascal Obispo, Jacques Dutronc, Florent Pagny, Mylène Farmer…
From 1994 to 1997, he collaborates with Vangelis for several projects (Opening ceremony of world of athletics in Athens, discs with Jose Carreras, Montserrat Caballé).
Since 1998, he is the realizer and musical director of the spectacles of Mylène Farmer and Johnny Hallyday (Stade de France, Eiffel Tower, Tournée of the Stages 2003).
In same time, it composes several musics of fictions and documentary for television (Jean Moulin, the odyssey of the species, Massai warriors of the rain…) and it takes part in many film original soundtracks (Visitors 1 and 2, It is the life, Giorgino, Loulou Graffiti).
Impassioned by the musics of the world, it recorded with the most prestigious Masters (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Baaba Maal, Denez Prigent, Wasis Diop, Bulgarian Voices, Richard Bo-Na).
In 2007, it integrates the Star Academy as a member of the jury into the sides of Pascal Nègre and Passi.
