Yuktibhasa

Yuktibhasa (in Malayalam: യുക്തിഭാഷ) or Ganita Yuktibhasa is a treaty of mathematics and astronomy, written by the Indian astronomer Jyesthadeva, member of the mathematical school of the Kerala in 1530.

The treaty recapitulates work of Madhava de Sangamagrama, Nilakantha Somayaji, Parameswara, Jyeshtadeva, Achyuta Panikkar and other astronomers mathematicians of this school. Several historians see in the Yuktibhasa the first treaty of Analyze. , preceding three centuries the redécouverte infinitesimal calculus by the Westerners. However, the treaty had little echo apart from the borders of the Kerala, undoubtedly because it was written in the local language, Malayalam.

One finds in particular in the work the development of a function in the form of infinite series, the whole series and of Taylor, of the trigonometrical series.
