The Yugur (also written Yugu ) (Pinyin: Yúgù Zú) are a Ethnicity. They constitute one of the 56 ethnicities officially identified by the Popular republic of China, with a population of almost: 14000 individuals. Yugur speak two languages in a remote way connected: a Turkish language and a language Mongolian E. They also speak the Chinese. Yugur are descendants of the Ouïghours which emigrated towards the end of the 9th century in the province of Gansu in China. They converted Manichéisme with the Bouddhisme Tibetan, which is still practiced in the Yugur communities to date. Yugur are an exception among the people going down from the Turks, because they did not convert with the Islam.
