Yu-Gi-Oh! is a manga of Kazuki Takahashi, published in French with the editions Kana. The entirety of the series at summer published in French, is thirty-eight volumes on the whole.

Summary of the history

Yugi Mutô is a boy whose weak point is to be too nice, he was continuously made annoy by the others. One day it receives from his large father an object found at the time of an excavation in Egypt: the thousand-year-old puzzle. This ancient object never yet succeeded in being assembled by whoever, but the Yugi young person finally succeeds in assembling it. At this moment is released the spirit of another person, locked up hitherto in the puzzle, a sure being of him and never moving back in front of nothing. This other personality lives the body of the young boy, it is in fact a former Pharaon d' Égypte who lived since in the puzzle. With Yugi, they will be inseparable. Few people realize that they deal with two Yugi. He is specialist in all the types of play. He is besides the Master of the play of darkness. But for an unknown reason, other Yugi does not remember its past, it does not know which it est.
After successive confrontations against its large enemy Seto Kaïba with the duel of monsters (Magic and Wizard in the manga), he gradually discovers his true identity, that of a Pharaon who lived 3000 years ago, and whose spirit was sealed in the thousand-year-old puzzle. The key of its victory against the malefic forces of the time when it reigned on Egypt is in fact its own name. It is about the Pharaon Atem.

The author, Kazuki Takahashi, finished the series with volume 38. But its assistant, Akira Ito, created a " history parallèle" who is held between the end of Battle city and the voyage in the memory. It is about " Yu-Gi-Oh R ".

Thousand-year-old Objects

These are mystical objects, whose creation goes up at the time Pharaonic. Akunadin, father of Seto, brother of king Aknamkhanon and thus uncle of the Pharaon Atem, went in the village of Kul Elna in order to imprison hearts soiled by darkness in order to forge in the stone of millénium the 7 divine objects of the millenium. (To be noted: in animates they name " Objects of Millénium")

Thousand-year-old puzzle

The Thousand-year-old Puzzle (or of Millénium in animates) is an artefact dating from ancient Egypt. He was discovered during a forwarding in Egypt directed by Sugoroku Muto which offered it to its grandson, Yugi. This one spent several years to solve it but when it posed the last part of the puzzle, it awoke the spirit which was locked up inside; it was the heart of a former Pharaon who did not have any memory of his past. From now on, Yugi and the Pharaon (who is also made call it other Yugi) are forever dependant thanks to the Thousand-year-old Puzzle and, at any moment, they can exchange their spirit for the control of the body of Yugi. Moreover, the Puzzle makes it possible Yugi to send the bad influences, the dark part somebody with the Kingdom of the Shades as it did with Seto Kaiba after their first duel.

Owner: Yugi Mutô.

Capacities: It can make cohabit two hearts in the same body and inflict to them the Play of the Sanction thanks to the Play of Darkness. It is the Thousand-year-old main object of the Artefacts, and it is that which however has less useful capacities.

Summary: This item thousand-year-old is carried by Yugi Mutô. It was a " breakage-tête" that his/her grandfather had offered to him so that Yugi solves it. Sugoroku thinks that Yugi was intended to have the puzzle. Yugi solved it, and maintaining during each duel, it is transformed into the " autre" Yugi.

Thousand-year-old eye

The thousand-year-old Eye is kept by Shahdi until Pegasus J. Crawford arrived to Egypt to recover from the loss of his/her friend. The destiny made him cross the road of Shahdi. Pégasus followed it to an old underground part of more than 5000 years. Shahdi taught him the existence from the objects Millénaire and Pégasus undergoes the test of the Thousand-year-old Eye. It makes a success of this test and its eyes could then contemplate its soft Cyndia. This object has the capacity to read in the thoughts of the others. During a duel, Pégasus can thus read the charts which the adversary has in hand but also those which are hidden side on the ground. It is possible to cancel this capacity with the capacity of the friendship. But the Eye has also capacities much more powerful: it can lock up the heart of another in the Kingdom of the Shades via a blank blank card. Pégasus as could make accept Yûgi as the heart of Seto was imprisoned in a puppet. Pegasus lost in duel vis-a-vis Bakura which taken to him its eye.

Thousand-year-old ring

This thousand-year-old object was in Mahad, but Bakura, the king of the robbers did not let it hear it thus, being very attached to the ring, it gained it at the time of a play of darkness the opponent with Mahad. The object can detect darkness by far as well as the other thousand-year-old objects. It can also transplant a creature of a chart in our world without to open a play of darkness.

Thousand-year-old key

The first carrier of this ancestral object at Shimon summer (become thereafter the large adviser of the Pharaon) follow-up of Shada. When Zorc the obscure one at beaten summer, one lost any trace of the key until our time or it is Shahdi, which does not have any more a body envelope, which has the key as well as the balance millénaire.
This antique object makes it possible to be introduced into the spirit of no matter whom in order to probe it and to see whether its heart is invaded by the darkness.

Balance Millénaire

The Thousand-year-old Balance is held by Shahdi, it makes it possible to see, which of the two duellists has the purest heart. At the time of a play of darkness, it makes it possible to amalgamate two creatures.

Thousand-year-old sceptre

This object allows its user, Marik Ishtar (Marek, in animates), to take the control of the spirit of others. It also makes it possible to project the enemies and to lock up them in stones to call upon them the kingdom of the shades. The first nobody who had it was the Seto.
priest In the manga published by Kana, the Sceptre is also called Thousand-year-old Hache. It is sometimes also called Baguette of Millénium (cartoon).

Thousand-year-old collar

This object allows its user, Isis Ishtar, to see the future. The collar was mistaken only once at the time of its duel with Seto.
In the Manga, the collar is also called tork thousand-year-old.
