Ypäjä

Ypäjä is a municipality south-west of the Finland, in the area of the Kanta-Häme. Historically, it marked the border between the Finland of South-west and the Häme. It is largely agricultural and nearer geographically to Loimaa (15 km) that of Forssa (23 km) - it is pulled about besides between the influence of the two cities and the two areas.

It is known to be the autoproclamée capital of the horse in Finland: It indeed shelters the principal institute of horsemanship of the country and a research center equine. It shelters also an important annual international competition ( Finnderby ).

The village center is located at 74 km of Turku, 96 km of Tampere and 132 km of Helsinki. It is crossed by the river Loimijoki. The commune is bordered by the municipalities of Loimaa, Jokioinen, Humppila and Somero
