Youssef Gabriel Chahine (rear RTL يوسفجبريلشاهين) (born the January 25th 1926 with Alexandria) is a Réalisateur, Acteur, producing scenario writer and Egyptian of international reputation.

He begins his studies with the Saint-Marc college. He joined then The English College where he obtains his baccalaureat. At 21 years, it leaves its native Egypt to go to study the Cinéma in the surroundings of Los Angeles. With its return, three years later, the occasion is given to him, thanks to Alvise Orfanell, to carry out its first film, Papa Amine .
