Your mother (in English Yo mamma or Your mum ) is a form of joke insulting, consisting in using an alleged characteristic of the mother of the person to whom one addresses, most of the time her weight or an unspecified mental deficiency, to make the subject of the joke of it.

In England, the majority of these jokes concentrates on the sexual integrity of the aforesaid the mother who is then called in question. The anticipated result is to cause the shame or the anger of the victim, by uttering lies about his/her mother, thus causing a need œdipal to defend it.
