The Your Keo is the temple of state of Jayavarman V, built on the site of Angkor to the Kampuchea at the beginning of the 11th century.

Work continued during the reign of Jayavīravarman but was stopped by the accession with the throne of its rival Sūryavarman I in 1010.

They never began again from where the aspect " brut" of this temple which is built in sandstone and Latérite and thus favourable with the sculpture of the superb Khmer low-reliefs.

Your Keo is a traditional Temple-mountain with five towers raised on the pyramidal platform on five levels very escarpés (21 m in height for a base of 120 m out of 105 m; the terrace is a square of 50 side m).

It should be noted that it is one of the first temples which comprises a surrounding gallery, on the second level.
