Young lady of Rodrigues

The young lady of Rodrigues ( Pomacentrus rodriguesensis ) is a fish of the family of the pomacentridé S endemic of the island Rodrigues discovered in 1999.

Discovered

The young lady of Rodrigues was discovered in 1999 by certain Daniel Pélicier during a diving in scientific matter in the great master key of Rodrigues. After makehaving made a drawing of it, it turns over to the Mauritius and consults the documents available without finding crunched fish there. Suspectant to be unknown, it off sends a specimen to the JLB Smith Institute Ichtyology of South Africa for Doctor Phil Heemstra. This one confirms its predictions.

Daniel Pelicier chooses to name new the taxon young lady of Rodrigues as a sign of his attachment in the island. The existence of this one is not yet officially recognized by the authorities of homologation.

Description

The young lady of Rodrigues is entirely blue, except the pectoral zone. She will be the emblem of the future marine park of the island.
